This is a true story and was shared at Grandpa’s memorial service. All the children in the story are the grandchildren of the author, Kay E. Thomson and Grandpa. The amazing illustrations were done by the author’s granddaughter, Macey Kaye Donley and depict the story perfectly.
The author, Kay E. Thomson, was born in NJ and moved to California in 1965 with her husband, Dale V. Thomson. They had two daughters and 6 grandchildren. Kay has been in Christian Ministry for over 40 years. She and her late husband, Dale, taught Sunday School 21 of those years. Kay now resides in Roseville, California where she serves as Director of Women’s Ministry and also is a Grief Recovery Facilitator.
